Patrick J. Hindert

Managing Director

Patrick Hindert has been a leader within the structured settlement industry since 1977. He graduated from Harvard University and the University of Michigan Law School and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association. Hindert co-founded Benefit Designs, Inc. in 1977 and developed it into a national structured settlement intermediary before selling the company in 1998. With his brother Daniel Hindert and Joseph Dehner, Hindert co-authors “Structured Settlements and Periodic Payment Judgments", a legal treatise published by Incisive Media and updated semi-annually since 1986. Hindert continues to serve as Managing Director of S2KM Limited where he authors S2KM’s blog "Beyond Structured Settlements" and S2KM's wikis. Hindert is a former President of the National Structured Settlement Trade Association (NSSTA) and former Executive Director of the Society of Settlement Planners (SSP).

Morbach has specialized in providing financial advice for catastrophically injured individuals and their families for 28 years utilizing sophisticated asset management techniques, integrated structured settlements and trust services. Since graduating from the University of Michigan Dearborn in 1976, where he concentrated in economics and finance, Morbach has worked continuously with UBS Financial Services and its predecessor firms most recently as Vice President of Investments and Structured Settlement Consultant.

Morbach is a recognized leader within the structured settlement and settlement planning industries. His clients include: insurers, risk managers, attorneys, and fiduciaries as well as financial and tax advisors. He is licensed with the New York Stock Exchange, holding Series 7, Series 65 and Series 6 licenses as well as life insurance licenses. Throughout his career, Morbach has been an active volunteer and community leader for persons with disabilities. Morbach has received many honors from the University of Michigan including the 1991 Presidential Society Service Citation and the 1998 Distinguished Alumni Service Award.
